ch0ppy rides wave to $200k in Sunday Million

It's a new year, but the same old story at the PokerStars.com Sunday Million: a record number of entrants (7,129), a record prize pool (over $1.4 million) and another happy winner, as ch0ppy outlasted the field yesterday for more than $200,000.

After a slight dip in entrants in December, online players must have been a little curious to see if there would be any hangover into the New Year for the popular PokerStars.com Sunday Million tournament.

The speculation ended quickly on Sunday, with the most entrants PokerStars.com has ever had in the tournament. The prize pool soared to $1,425,800 and first place earnings to over $201,000.

This ultimately meant a very happy start to the year for ch0ppy. After a tough final table battle, with multi-million dollar pots commonplace, ch0ppy took out LOPINI with an excessive set of tens and marched away with the bragging rights and the coin.
