CEO Poker Championship to run at The Palms in Vegas

World CEO Entertainment LLC and CEO Poker have announced that the first annual CEO Poker Championship will be hosted at The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from October 22-26, 2006.

The exclusive No-Limit Hold'em event will pit over 400 CEOs and pro poker players against one another in a battle of skills. Pros slated to compete include Jennifer Harman, Phil Gordon, Cyndy Violette, Andy Bloch, Barry Greenstein, and Sam Farha, among others.

The winner will take home the Chairman's Poker Tournament Ring and the Chairman of Poker title. Internet, industry, real estate, and Fortune 500 CEOs are invited to compete in the black tie event, which will boast a buy-in ranging from $1,500 to $10,000.

William Peraza, Jr., CEO of World CEO Entertainment, and Maria Gomez, co-founder of CEO Poker, developed the concept of the CEO Poker Championship. They saw a need for an event that highlighted some of the most powerful CEOs in the U.S. playing against one another in poker in one of Vegas' top venues, The Palms Resort and Casino.

"We reviewed and approached key hotels in Las Vegas and The Palms Hotel was awarded the opportunity of hosting the event because of its: incredible hotel atmosphere, professional staff, unique room spaces, and ability to cater to an audience of individuals that expect the best when they travel to Vegas," says Peraza.

"The Palms has developed one of the strongest brands in the gaming industry with its incredible marketing savvy, from hosting Real World/Las Vegas, to being the home of Celebrity Poker on Bravo. It is a property known worldwide as a top resort destination."

Currently, over 300 CEOs have registered for the tournament. Applications are still being accepted at
