"Casino Royale" exhibit highlight of corpse museum
By Erin Warner
Now you don't have to be a Bond girl to see 007 without his clothes. A new Gunther von Hagens workshop in eastern Germany opening Friday features a poker scene from the latest James Bond film, "Casino Royale" - except this version includes three skinned and preserved human bodies.
Von Hagens, known for preserving human bodies with polymers and showcasing them, set up the workshop to rejuvenate a stagnant economy.
The "Casino Royale" exhibit is to be the highlight of the workshop, which Hagens calls a "Plastinarium." The scene shows three skinned corpses playing poker around a table.
The cadaver museum is the latest work of von Hagens, a international success for his "Body Worlds" show, an exhibit showcasing preserved human bodies engaged in various activities.
