Cash quickly at this year's WSOP
By Erin Warner
Withdrawing the buy-in for an impromptu cash game or tournament just got easier at this year's World Series of Poker, with an increased selection of funding options and ATMs on site.
From June 1 to July 17, the WSOP will beef up the number of ways players can access their money at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.
Harrah's is teaming with Global Cash Access, a money service in the international gaming industry.
GCA serves more than 1,000 casinos and clients worldwide, providing the technology for gaming customers to withdraw money through its ATM, debit card, check cashing and credit card cash advance services.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us and Harrah's," said GCA spokesman Steve Lazarus. "Not only does it allow us to improve service and reinforce consumer loyalty in the WSOP, it also provides new potential in an energetic and growing poker market."
The introduction of the new cash services is one of several key improvements to make the 2007 WSOP more convenient for repeat players at the tournament, said a spokesman for the event in a Tuesday release.
