Caro to play in Irish Open

Pro poker player and author, Mike the "Mad Genius of Poker" Caro, will compete in the Irish Open Festival 2006 in Dublin, Ireland, from April 14-17, it was recently announced. Caro will join other top pros at the 25th annual poker series on Easter Weekend at Ballsbridge Hotel. The main event will boast a guaranteed prize pool of €1 million, which includes €50,000 in added sponsorship money.

The main event's final table will broadcast live on Sky Sports 2 at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17 (Easter Monday), and will be filmed before a select VIP audience at a secret location in Dublin.

While in Ireland, Caro will give a speech about poker at Trinity College in Dublin on Thursday, April 13, in the Graduates Memorial Building at 5.30 p.m. His address will be followed by a Question & Answer session and a book signing.
