The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour became a tour in the full sense of the word today as it began play in its second location, Costa Rica.

The LAPT kicked off its inaugural tour just two weeks ago in the sunny city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, bringing players from all over the world to compete in a $2,500 buy-in Texas Holdoe'm tournament.

Now the tour has headed to the home of Victor Ramdin.

From the celebrity world, Montel Williams is taking a break from finding people's daddies on his talk show to test his poker skills once again. Joining him are former professional baseball players Orel Hershiser and David Wells, The Simpsons co-creator Sam Simon and Brazilian stock-car racer Gualter Salles.

Also among the 400 who've anted up their $2,500, 180 of whom qualified online at PokerStars, is Julien Nuijten, the winner of the Brazil leg of the LAPT. The 19-year-old player from Holland could be looking to remain the only champion on the tour rather than just the first.

There will be plenty of action to follow and updates on your favorite players right here at PokerListings during the three days of play at the Cariari Country Club in San Jose. Check out all the live action, photos, interviews and more in the Live Tournaments section.

For players looking to take in some poker action of their own, either online or to qualify for major live events, head to PokerStars.
