Cannatella Co-Hosts Reno Charity Event

Absolute Poker’s Trishelle Cannatella.

UB and Absolute Poker’s Trishelle Cannatella are co-hosting a two-day charity poker tournament to benefit cancer research in Reno beginning today.

The V Foundation Charity Poker Tournament also features a silent auction, private dinner and a "Take It Downhill" Poker Pro Ski Challenge.

Confirmed to play in the tournament and ski challenge are several notable Team UB pros including Brandon Cantu, Adam Levy, Michael Binger, Matt Graham, Tiffany Michelle and Liv Boeree.

Plus, Team AP Pros Matt Vengrin and Lacey Jones, baseball all-star Jose Canseco and actor Mekhi Phifer are planning to play.

The majority of the funds raised through the $200+30 rebuy event will be donated to the V Foundation for cancer research.

Cannatella herself is no stranger to supporting charity through poker.

In early February, she outlasted a field of 60 players to take the title in a $1,000+70 poker tournament in support of the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The reality TV star also made the final table of the World Poker Tour's Celebrity Invitational in support of Chrysalis, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged and homeless individuals become self-sufficient through employment opportunities.
