By: Lianne Elias

Pro player and 10-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Doyle Brunson attracted a lot of attention at the Poker Industry Expo (PIX) in San Jose, Costa Rica in early December, it has been revealed.

The poker star allegedly stopped the show when he entered the convention center at the Barcelo San Jose Palacio where the Expo was taking place, and subsequently agreed to sign autographs at the DoylesRoom.com booth along with fellow pro and renowned poker theorist/author "Mad Genius of Poker" Mike Caro.

Attendees who lined up for an autograph included U.S. state representative from North Dakota, James Kasper, who has led efforts to legalize online poker in his state in the past.

This was the first time the annual PIX was held in Costa Rica. It was organized by independent event planners Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc., and covered all aspects of both online and land-based poker. The event featured presentations and seminars on management, marketing, payment issues, customer service, and technology. New poker products were also on exhibit.
