Brit to sit in for Titan Poker at World Poker Finals

An Englishman will represent Titan Poker at the World Poker Finals, beginning this Saturday in Connecticut, after winning his seat in the online poker room's Pick Your Tournament series.

Piers Shepperson, of Slough in southeast England, will play at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket this weekend through Tuesday. Shepperson, who goes by the nickname BlingWombat online, is the second player to win a Pick Your Tournament series at Titan Poker and has only played poker on the Internet for the past year.

The super-satellite tournaments award top online poker players with seats at U.S. World Poker Tour events. The player is allowed to choose the date and destination of the tournament he wishes to attend, and Titan Poker supplies a $12,000 package for the event.

Three satellites remain up for grabs in the coming months, giving online players the opportunity to play at a WPT event. Seats are still available for the World Poker Open in Tunica, Miss., in January, the LA Poker Classic in Commerce, Calif., in February, and the Bay 101 in San Jose, Calif., in March.

Titan Poker regularly sends qualifying players to other land-based tournaments, including the World Series of Poker and the European Poker Tour. More information regarding the WPT Pick Your Tournament series is available on the Titan Poker Web site.
