Bodog.com to host charity fundraising event in honor of U.S. troops

The "Bodog Salutes Our Troops: A Tribute to American Heroes" charity event will be held in Oahu, Hawaii from July 21 until July 24.

The four day event will honor the 110,000 men and women of the U.S. military who are awaiting deployment or are just returning from service in the Middle East, and are currently based at Hickam Air Force Base, Schofield Barracks, Pearl Harbor, and Kaneohe Marine Corp Base on Oahu. All proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation, an organization that assists troops and their families in times of need.

The event will boast celebrities, musicians, comedians, athletes and troops, all of whom will be participating in various activities, such as a poker tournament, a family picnic, and a softball game. There will also be a comedy show and concert held at the world famous Waikiki Shell.

A massive poker tournament will be held at Camp Bodog on the beach, with the finals taking place at the popular Kahala Mandarin Oriental resort. The No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament will be hosted by WSOP tournament director Matt Savage and will include approximately 15 celebrities, 10 Bodog.net players and over 60 U.S. troops.
