Bodog to celebrate one-billionth hand

Gotta Get that Paper, Dog

Bodog Poker is targeted to hit a new milestone by the end of November. The poker site reports it's on track to deal its one-billionth hand and is celebrating the event by giving away loads of cash and tournament credits all through November.

"We owe it all to our players for helping us reach our one-billionth hand, and we're saying thanks this November by giving away cash daily as well as tournament credits that players can parlay into a chance at winning thousands, even millions," said Calvin Ayre, Bodog Poker founder and CEO.

On the way to the landmark hand, players at Bodog Poker can win money through daily random draws and through participation in milestone hands leading up to and including the billionth hand.

Starting with hand 980,000,000, Bodog will award increasing cash prizes for every five-millionth hand dealt up to the billionth hand.

Players involved in the milestone hands will each receive $109 in tournament credits for Bodog tournaments, including the weekly $100,000 Guaranteed and Player's Choice qualifiers.

With the Player's Choice qualifiers, you could be on your way to a World Poker Tour or European Poker Tour event of your choice for a shot at millions.

In addition to receiving tournament credits, all landmark hand participants will also split cash prizes when a milestone hand is dealt. The cash prize will increase as the billionth hand approaches, with the players at the table for the one-billionth hand splitting $10,000.

The poker site will also hold a daily drawing Nov. 5-26 with 10 players per day winning $50 each. All players have to do to qualify for the drawing is earn 100 Bodog Poker points. Those 100 points will earn one entry into every day's drawing for the entire duration of the promotion.

Once the one-billionth hand is dealt, there will also be a final grand prize drawing with the lucky winner receiving $12,000 paid out in the form of a $1,000 monthly bankroll for one full year.

The more times a player meets the 100-point threshold, the more entries they receive for every draw.

"While this is an opportunity to look back at how far we've come since we launched our poker room in 2004, we're already looking forward to dealing our next billion hands," Ayre said. "We will continue to provide players with the best online poker experience available as well as Bodog's world-class customer service."
