Bodog Poker running Aussie Millions qualifiers

The Introduction

By Sarah Polson

The New Year brings a new season of poker, with major events all around the world kicking off 2008. One of those events will see poker pros heading to Australia for the Aussie Millions Poker Championship Jan. 14-20.

You too could be among those playing poker in warm, sunny Melbourne by winning a trip to the event through Bodog Poker. This is the first time ever that Bodog Poker is sending players to the Aussie Millions, according to a press release.

For the next three weeks, winners of the Bodog Player's Choice Semifinal tournament can pick the Aussie Millions as their event of choice.

There are daily qualifiers for the Players Choice tournaments that allow players to work their way up the ranks to the Semifinals and a shot at a $12,000 prize package to the event of their choice on the World Poker Tour, the European Poker Tour or now, at the Aussie Millions.

That $12,000 prize package includes the buy-in for the event as well as travel expenses.

Buy-ins for qualifiers start as low as $1 on up to the $270 direct buy-in to the Player's Choice Semifinal, which will guarantee at least one package given away. Another prize package will be added for each additional $12,000 in the prize pool.

"With one Player's Choice package guaranteed every week, Bodog has never made it easier to qualify for a major international poker tournament," said the poker site. "Play for millions and see the world the way only Bodog players do."
