Bodog launches 31 days of WSOP freerolls
By Sarah Polson
Today, Bodog Poker launched another way for players to win a seat in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event at absolutely no cost.
From May 1 through May 31, Bodog poker is running four WSOP Seat Giveaway Qualifiers every day at 3 a.m., 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET.
All it takes to enter is five Bodog Poker Points, and the top 25 finishers in each qualifier will move on to compete in a final tournament taking place June 7 at 5:05 p.m. where the winner will receive a $12,000 Main Event prize package.
The prize package is worth $12,000 and includes the $10,000 buy-in to the Main Event as well as $2,000 for travel expenses. In addition, online players who make it onto Team Bodog for the WSOP will receive loads of Team Bodog gear and the chance to experience Las Vegas in Bodog style.
Bodog Poker will also award other top finishers in the June 7 final tournament. Second through fifth place will each get T$270 in order to buy into a Main Event Semifinal, giving them another shot at competing for a $12,000 Main Event Prize Package.
Sixth- through 10th-place finishers in the final will each receive T$109 in order to buy into the Bodog Sunday $100k Guaranteed tournament.
Players who don't already have an account at Bodog Poker can still get in on the action. Every new player at Bodog Poker automatically receives 50 Bodog Poker Points in their account, which means new players will have 10 free tries to play any of the four daily WSOP qualifiers through the month of May.
Along with the top 25 earning spots in the June 7 final, the first-place finisher in each qualifier will also win T$29 to participate in a Main Event Quarterfinal, and the 26th to 50th finishers will win T$1.50 to use on a Main Event Cheap Seat tournament.
