Random WSOP Observation #38: Oh Noez!
Created By: Owen Laukkanen Posted in: WSOP Blog, Tournament Trail
Behold, the saddest sight in poker.
Having steadfastly provided poker players with greasy nourishment and sugary libations over the last six weeks, the Poker Kitchen has been closed for the remaining days of play in the World Series of Poker's Main Event.
Apparently it's just not cost-effective to keep the cooks on staff for the 150 or so players plus their respective cheering sections (not to mention the hungry, hungry media).
Thus, anyone fortunate enough to survive into the final days of the Main Event must subsist on cardboard Pizza Hut pizzas and stale sushi from the hall outside the Amazon Room.
But it's a small price to pay for an $8.6 million reward.
