Top 5 Limit Hold'em players to watch at WSOP
Created By: Daniel Skolovy Posted in: WSOP Blog, PokerListed
Event 30, the $10,000 World Championship of Limit Hold'em, is set to start today so with that in mind, here's a look at who to watch out for.
Now sure, maybe Limit Hold'em isn't as exciting as, say, watching paint dry, but it's still a game that takesa helluva lotta skill.
Since you can't just go all-in, Limit Hold'em is all about exploiting small edges; National League small ball, say, not American League swing for the fences. It's a finesse game.
By my calculations, here are the Top 5 poo-flingers we can expect to see make deep runs in this tournament - and possibly even take the whole thing down.
5) Todd "Dan Druff" Witteles. Surprising to some, but Todd "Dan Druff" Witteles of NeverWinPoker fame is no stranger to Limit Hold'em final tables.
With a third-place finish and a bracelet win at the 2005 WSOP, it's pretty clear Witteles knows what he's doing in min-bet poker. Three years without a win likely seems an eternity, so you can bet Druff will be looking to add another to his already-impressive resume.

4) David Benyamine. Benyamine is yet another red name at Full Tilt (isn't everyone these days?). He loves Limit poker in general, not just Limit Hold'em.
Benyamine plays and holds his own in the biggest stakes online and was one of the few who could keep up with the infamous TexasLimitKing. He should be in for a good ride if he can get the cards to cooperate.

3) Annie Duke. Duke is the only female in this list, but she belongs right on it along with everyone else. With four WSOP Limit Hold'em final tables and several more top 20s, Duke's Limit Hold'em tournament game is right up there with the best in the world.
If everything goes according to plan Duke will outshine the rest of her competition in this year's Limit Hold'em Championship event.
2) Mike Schneider. This Full Tilt pro is young at 23 but already murders the highest-stakes Limit games online. Schneider's success is not only limited to online, though.
He won the 2006 Party Poker Million V Limit Hold'em tournament, taking down $1 million. Schneider is not afraid to play anyone online, and will be looking to go deep in this year's World Championship of Min-Bet.

1) David Chiu. Another Full Tilt red name. Chiu is a favorite no matter what type of game he's playing in, but he especially shines in Limit Hold'em.
Renowned for his reading skills, Chiu has seven Limit Hold'em WSOP final tables as well as two bracelets in LHE. He's also fresh off a WPT World Championship in April which, you know, pretty much has the toughest field in all of poker.
