The day kicked off with Day 1 of Event 25, No-Limit Hold'em. Everybody loves a Hold'em event and that was apparent today. The $2,000 dollar event brought in 1,619 entrants that were packed into the Rio.
Tons of poker professionals were on the scene with the likes of Michael Binger, Michael Gracz and Tex Barch all going for a bracelet. In the end it was none other than youngster Nick Schulman and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi at one table while Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Doyle Brunson and John Juanda shared another.
The end of the day saw Sam Grizzle, Jack Zwerner and Cyndy Violette round out the top three in terms of chip stacks. Plenty of other pros were still kicking around including Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Mercier, Josh Arieh and Daniel Alaei.
Check back tomorrow to see who gets to go to the final table of this star-studded event.
With 23 events finished, we've still got 25 more to go including the mega-super-extremely-large Main Event. Hope you're ready for more tomorrow because, like every other day at the WSOP, PokerListings.com will be pumping out content that is all things poker. Peace!
