What else happened on Day 2b? Well, Steve Billirakis were both sent to the rail in the first hour of play.
The day was quite a bit quieter than the previous Day 2, most likely because of Joe Beevers, Adam Junglen, Jesse Jones and more all played at different times during the day.
Negreanu was undoubtedly the star of the show although he folded almost every hand he had today. The crazy Canuck was chattering on about bad tournament structures, the German language, hand-shaking, hard-rock music and much, much more. Negreanu finished with $31,700 in chips and is near the bottom of the chip stacks. Look for him to make some moves quickly tomorrow or face elimination.
Chan, on the other hand, was doing just fine with chips. He finished in the top 10 with $118,000 but near the end of the night he seemed slightly inebriated. Chan told Negreanu the feature table looked like a strip club to him when he first entered and then proceeded to laugh at his own joke for a few minutes.
What more can we say about Antonius? If he was in a hand today he seemed to win it. In one hand he forced an opponent all-in and flipped over K♥ T♥ against his opponent's pocket nines. Antonius hit his straight on the turn and that pretty much sums up how his day went. The Finnish Fantasmo ended the day with $287,000 in chips. Gus Hansen will be entering play tomorrow with $349,400.
Which crazy Scandinavian will come out on top tomorrow? Well I guess you'll have to check PokerListings.com to find out, huh.
