Los Angeles Poker Classic Day 1 Recap
The City of Commerce is once again poker's place to be as the World Poker Tour launches the Season 6 iteration of one of its flagship events, the Los Angeles Poker Classic, from the Commerce Casino in California.

For five years, the LAPC has been a staple on the Jonathan Little, Michael Mizrachi, Tom Dwan, Liz Lieu, Jonathan Little, Joe Sebok, James Mackey, Shannon Shorr and Russ "Dutch" Boyd all hit the bricks.

Meanwhile, Theo Tran, Anna Wroblewski, Antonio Esfandiari and Justin Bonomo all found themselves on the proper end of the chip leaderboard, with the Zee man dominating throughout the day before relinquishing his chip lead to Tran and Wroblewski in the later stages of the battle. The end of the day would see David Singer emerge with the overall chip lead, with the Full Tilt Poker pro amassing $137,400 before the closing bell rang.

Day 2 will begin at 12:30 p.m. PST and will last six long levels before play is halted once more. Most of the usual suspects are still in the hunt, but with escalating blinds and the dead wood slowly being carved away, the action is sure to continue heating up from the Commerce Casino all throughout Sunday.
