Today saw the Five Diamond World Poker Classic series of tournament continue from the beautiful Fontana Room at Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, with the $15,000 T.J. Cloutier, Greg Mueller, and Rhett Butler.
For now, however, the chip leader after ½ day of play is Clonie Gowen, who played giant-killer on Day 1 by busting Tuan Le and Patrik Antonius on back to back hands. Jim "Krazy Kanuck" Worth made short work of Phil Hellmuth at the feature table, and other pros like Phil Ivey, Jen Harman, David Williams and Brad Booth will also have a little free time to enjoy the crisp Las Vegas air, or to maybe do a little fishing at the cash tables.
With the exceptional pro turnout and the competence exhibited by tournament organizers so far, this tournament promises to be epic. Keep checking back with PokerListings.com for comprehensive coverage, including updates, photos, results and more.
