This former World Champion best finish this year was 17th place. I'm sure Ferguson isn't pleased with his play thus far. One of poker's most recognizable faces has been recognizably bad this year. Hopefully "Jesus" can perform a miracle and turn his fate around at the Main Event.
More like "Money-loser." Chris is another former World Champion that has had an exceptionally rough year. Because Moneymaker is constantly busting out early there is now a running joke that you have to get up pretty early in the morning to get a photograph of him. These days Moneymaker gets paid more for being a poker advertiser than he does by playing the game.
Despite winning herself the lion's share of the chips in some tournaments this year Gowen always seems to bust right before the money. Her best finish this year has been 243rd in No-Limit Hold'em. Gowen's cash game skills have always been razor sharp, maybe she's having a hard time turning that into tournament success.
I expected both Annie Duke and Clonie Gowen to be monsters this year at the WSOP. Both have only cashed once (Duke got 33rd in Seven-Card Stud), and both are big name celebrity players. Duke seems fairly displeased with her play, and I think it's obvious that she expects more out of herself.
Todd is a fantastic player, and it seems wrong that he has only made the money once this year. He's come close a number of times but he always seems to bust out at the wrong time. It's almost like he has been on tilt for the entire 06 season.
Antanas "Tony G" Guoga
This brash, trash-talking card-player hasn't had anything to boast about lately. His opponents are probably the happiest they've ever been.
Until next time this is Arthur Crowson wishing all these pros better luck over the next few weeks. They need it.
