Willie Nelson was on Howard Stern's Sirius Satellite radio show yesterday and, mixed in with a lot of talk about marijuana, he told a story about how he plays a home game at his Maui beach house with Woody Harrelson and the Wilson (Owen and Luke) brothers.
When we heard that we were all like, "Gdm! That's gotta be the coolest home game on the planet."
We're currently flipping the switch on the PokerListings Celebrity Harrassment machine to see if we can get any more info on this. Said machine bombards the chosen celebrity and anyone remotely associated them with a full social media assault.
They'll usually send us a reply just to make us stop.
Best case we get invited to the game. Worst case we get a quote we can bring to you in a future post. (According to our lawyers a harrasment suit would be the worst case but that's splitting hairs in our opinion)
We've known for a while that Willie was a gambler. He wrote his hit song "Good Hearted Woman" in 1969 after an all-night poker session with the great Waylon Jennings in Fort Worth, and he reportedly lost hundreds of thousands of dollars battling Amarillo Slim at dominos.
Willie's definitely a national treasure and Woody Harrelson's pretty much the man. The Wilsons are okay. If Willy vouches for them we'll let it slide.
