PokerListings Run-Good Challenge Begins!

Published by: Matthew Showell

Posted In: The Poker Reporter Blog, Run Good Challenge

Bootylicious Poker bloggers are reclusive by nature, lured from their remote locations only by the lights of Las Vegas and, once in a while, the offer of free money. PokerListings has acted with the latter in mind as we present to you The PokerListings Run-Good Challenge!

Just like the Kumite, or that Bruce Lee movie where the world's best are invited to throw down on an island, PL.com has sent out the word to the elite of the poker blogging world. Ten have replied to our call and tomorrow we will meet in the online arena to wage war.

Our opposition has been culled from the four corners of the earth, exotic locales rarely glimpsed by human eyes, but mostly from New York and California. Their names are known to the waiters at the cheapest of Vegas buffets and whispered in fear by the Gold Coast Pai-Gow dealers.

They claim to know the game, but we will put that claim to the test.

The opposition includes Dr. Pauly, Change100, Spaceman, Poker Shrink, Amy Calistri, Michalski, The Entities, the too-young-to-be-a-cougar Michele Lewis, Kid Dynamite and Short-Stacked Shamus.

Representing PokerListings, and therefore all that is good and right in the world, are myself and our in-house master of strategery Dan Skolovy.

There will be riches beyond our wildest dreams in store for the winners and the crushing weight of failure for everyone else. It would not be an exaggeration to say the fate of all mankind dangles precariously in the balance.*

The carnage will take place on PokerStars each and every Saturday this month at 11 a.m. PDT, starting today. If you're online at Stars feel free to stop by and sweat the proceedings.

Over the course of the series we'll be recapping the events for your amusement and showing these so-called poker experts how the game was meant to be played.

Three preliminary events with $1,000 up for grabs in each will determine who advances to the Grand Final on the last Saturday of September. The finale will see a monstrous $2,500 divided among each of the six who make it.

Tune in to PokerListings.com and each of the blogs mentioned above to follow the action from everyone's perspective. And make sure to hang on; it's going to be a bumpy ride!

If you have a poker blog, and the ability to run good, ship us an email at support@pokerlistings.com to get involved.

* Fate of mankind may not actually hang in the balance.

Poker Gambit,

This was our first shot at a Blogger Tournament and so it included only a very select list. There are a number of conditions bloggers must meet to be eligible.

I'll check out your blog and we can talk.
