Rast and Antonio Jump for Joy

Brian Rast Wins

Caught in mid-air forever Brian Rast and Antonio Esfandiari literally jump for joy seconds after Rast took down the $50k Players Championship, his second bracelet of 2011.

Rast pocketed $1.72 million and handed Phil Hellmuth his third runner-up finish of 2011.

The Summer of Jason

30 Jason Alexander LOW

To say we're Seinfeld fans seems like an understatement of fact so when we got the chance to shoot an installment of The Circuit with Jason Alexander we jumped at it.

Someone like Alexander going deep in the Main Event could do a lot for the game of poker. Unfortunately this year it was not to be.

Check out the video companion piece here.

The Truth Will Set you Free

Paul Pierce

Celtics star Paul Pierce played his first WSOP event this summer, and more than held his own against a table that included the likes of Dwyte Pilgrim.

I personally spent four hours and multiple attempts getting this interview, and the pictures here.

Hellmuth Oversleeps

Scotty Nguyen Laughs at Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth had reason to face-palm on Day 2a of this year's Main Event. The Poker Brat actually slept in, with his "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, and missed almost two hours of play.

Hellmuth, short even before his stack was blinded away for a level, failed to make the money.

Two Outs Over the Line

5506 McLean Karr Busts in 8th2

With eight players left and $600k waiting for first place McLean Karr was in a great spot to double up and make a run at his first WSOP bracelet.

Karr had got all-in racing A-J against Sam Stein's pocket fours. Karr hit a jack on the flop, and faded the turn ... you can probably guess what happened on the river.

Runner Runner for the Stunner

Jennifer Cowan

This picture was captured during the Ladies Event, the moment Jennifer Cowan hit a mirace runner-runner double inside straight draw.

Cowan had gotten it in with A-K on a ten-high flop against an opponent who flopped a set. The turn was a queen and the river a jack to give Cowan something to scream about.

Beware the Landfish

Steve Landfish

We'll let you decide whether this photo has been altered in any way.

We're pretty sure this is how Steve Landfish looked when he went on a nice little heater this summer, earning over $330,000 thanks to two $10k final tables.
