Crystal chandeliers scatter light thrown up by spotlights positioned around the room. Tournament tables are snuck in where ever a free few feet can be found, making it tough to keep an eye on everything that's going on.
It's a far cry from the cavernous convention halls we're used to playing in back across the pond, and it results in a wholly different feeling to the event.
The Empire is a flashy place even by European standards, a perfect setting for the what is becoming the biggest stop on the European poker calendar.
