Matt Stout just got back from a trip to Wales to play in the $20,000 Poker Lounge game but he was still more than game for a big Sunday MTT session!
Read Stout's Sunday Report every week to see what it's like playing a full schedule of online Sunday poker tournaments.
Only someone who really loves the game as much as I do could get home after about 20 hours of travel back from Europe, get about five hours of sleep, and yet wake up an hour early anxiously awaiting the start of tournaments.
Even I was a little surprised that I was so ready to go!
I played the early $109 on Tilt, which I've never played before in my entire life if I recall correctly. I was just that amped up. It's too bad they don't award prize money based on enthusiasm, though.
I was cruising along in the Tilt $55 cubed for a long time and went into the final table with the chip lead playing for $27k. The final table wasn't particularly strong, and I really loved my chances.
That is until I ran Q♠ Q♣ into A♠ A♦. I was crippled in that hand and went on to bust out in 8th place for about $2700.
I also went through $5,285 registering for just about every juicy tournament of the entire day on Stars and cashed in nothing but a freeroll. LOL
My only other really close run for the day was in the $50k guaranteed $109 tournament on Lock Poker. I grinded out the short stack for as long as I could, but was unable to win the classic coin flip when my K♣ Q♠ somehow couldn't beat A♥ A♦. Strange, since I feel like I win that hand about 52% of the time.
Anyway, there was an overlay of $7,600 in the tournament this week and I don't expect it to have a much bigger field next week. With the site putting up that much money and fish like me flailing in the waters I highly recommend playing it!
