The numbers speak for themselves, and they're pretty gross. This is probably the first time I've ever cracked $10k in buy-ins on a "normal" Sunday, thanks in part to a couple new $640 satellites.

I made a run at one final table, but the best I could muster was a 15th place finish. Since my trip back from my 2nd place near Atlantic City was far more interesting than the Sunday session itself, I'll talk about that here instead.

After spending a couple days visiting family in NY and NJ since I'll be headed back to Vegas for several months today, I decided to play an online session in Brooklyn with a friend of mine who plays as "petegotaplan" online.

We've hung out a bunch but never had an opportunity to grind some donkaments together. Since my parents' house and my old hometown of Bayonne, NJ are closer to Brooklyn, this seemed like a good opportunity.

Fast forward to a little after 2 am, 13 hours after our session began. Pete final table bubbles the Sunday Mulligan and it's official: we have all committed an epic fail for the day.

Unfortunately, I decide that I want to take the 2+ hour drive back to Brigantine, NJ to sleep in my own bed instead of on the pull-out couch again. BIG mistake.

~2:45am - Leave Brooklyn.

~4:00am - Become too tired to drive about 70 miles from home, and stop at a rest area to nap in the car since falling asleep at the wheel is usually a bad thing.

~5:30am - Wake up from said nap, and decide that I'm going to take the Garden State Parkway North instead of South, which is the way I need to go. I'm a jackass.

~5:45am - Realize this, and turn around.

~6:00am - Well, I'll let the link below tell the news since that's what they do:

~7:15am - Finally get to pass the charred oil tanker that had burst into flames <1/4 mi in front of me and head home.

~8:30am - End the longest Sunday ever, well into Monday morning.
