We've had this project on the burner for a little while now and we're finally ready to start rolling out the free poker strategy!
Just before the new year we put out the virtual suggestion box to give our readers a chance to voice their biggest poker strategy concerns. The suggestions flooded in here on the site, as well as on Facebook, and we picked the best ten.
We sent that list over to our friends at Cardrunners and they picked ten of their best coaches to tackle these weighty issues.
We've got the list of topics and the list of coaches for you right here, plus a link to the inaugural post which went up today!
First, check out the list of topics. Each week one of the CR coaches will pick a topic and we'll cross their name, and the topic, off the list. We'll also go ahead and link up the articles to the topics below once they're posted.
- Managing Your First Big Score *Posted
- How to Be a Poker Pro
- Best Home Game Variant You Don’t Know *Posted
- Using Live Tournaments as Vacations *Posted
- Tracking Software for Noobs *Posted
- Badugi Basics *Posted
- US vs. European Poker Sites *Posted

- PLO Strategy Grab Bag
The idea is for these coaches to have the freedom to choose a topic about which they have something to write.
Let's be honest, almost everything has been written about at one time or another. We're hoping to create a more authentic experience by letting these coaches approach the subjects from their own personal experience.
Here's the working list of the coaches. We've still got two mystery spots to fill in to keep things ... mysterious.
- Matthew 'mindcirkus' Wheat
- John "Nicolak" Kim
- James 'DZoo" Hart
- Steve 'electrical' Albini
- Bryan "PrimordialAA" Pelligrino
- Matthew Janda
- Mike "Predator006" Six
- Samer "Braminc" Khuri
- Mark Silver
The first post is up in our strategy section now!
We'll be posting a new article from this series every Monday until we're done so keep an eye out in the Poker Strategy section, or check back here for links to all the posts.
