Final-Table Fantasy Challenge Now Open!
Created By: Ronnie Schwartz Posted in: WSOP Blog, Prop Bets and Challenges
Prize for winning the 2008 WSOP Main Event: $9,119,517. Prize for winning the PL.com WSOP Final-Table Fantasy Challenge: your very own PokerListings chip set.
Difference in excitement between the two however? Negligible. Very negligible.
The inaugural PokerListings Final-Table Fantasy Challenge is now officially open, and to say the gauntlet has been thrown down by the first few entries would be pure speculation, as we have yet to receive any.
We certainly expect them to be gauntlet-throwing-down worthy however. Kelly Kim ftw?
How the challenge works:
From now until 8 p.m. (EST) on Nov. 8, 2008, all registered PL.com forum members are invited to take a shot at predicting the outcome of the WSOP final table scheduled for Nov. 9-10.
Entry is completely free and the selection process is simple. Simply pick out which of the remaining nine players will finish in the top five at the end of the tournament.
Points are given for each top-five finisher picked correctly, with bonus points for accurately predicting where they will place. Picking the winner earns an even bigger bonus.
All contest rules and details can be found in the PokerListings forum.
Do not panic - there is still plenty of time to do your research. Check our own Main Event coverage from this past summer to find in-depth analysis of the remaining players, compare their current chip stacks and read each player's bio.
Submitting an entry takes just moments - and now you'll have some added incentive when you follow our live tournament updates on Nov. 9.
Good luck to all and see you in November!
