Dear Bad Beat Counselor: Rating Severe

Tough call this week, but none of the submitted beats - and there definitely were some bad ones - quite stacked up to this $112k hand from our MarketPulse section.

Not only is it the fifth-biggest pot in the last week, I think you'll agree with me when I say it makes all your two-outers and runner-runner flushes in 12BB pots look like Wiffle ball.

This hand is absolutely repugnant. I literally vomited a little bit in my mouth when I read the hand history. Without further ado:

Full Tilt Poker $300/$600 - No-Limit Hold'em
Seat 1: MUCKEMSAYUHH ($56,199)
Seat 2: guaranteed376 ($201,922)

guaranteed376 posts the small blind of $300
MUCKEMSAYUHH posts the big blind of $600

guaranteed376 raises to $1,800
MUCKEMSAYUHH raises to $6,400
guaranteed376 raises to $201,922, and is all-in
MUCKEMSAYUHH calls $49,799, and is all-in

guaranteed376 shows Q 4
MUCKEMSAYUHH shows K K

Uncalled bet of $145,723 returned to guaranteed376

FLOP - J 2 3

TURN- A

RIVER - 5

*** SUMMARY ***

Total pot $112,398 | Rake $0.50
Board: J 2 3 A 5

Seat 1: MUCKEMSAYUHH (big blind) showed K K and lost with a pair of kings

Seat 2: guaranteed376 (small blind) showed Q 4 and won ($112,397.50) with a straight, five-high

MUCKEMSAYUHH, I'm a little speechless on this one. As you can see by the Bad Beatometer above, it can't really get any worse.

I know you're a very successful player though, so I really don't feel too bad. Plus it seems like guaranteed376 is more than willing to play you, so you'll eventually get it back.

For the rest of you guys complaining about two-outers: take solace in the fact this sort of thing does happen to everyone. Imagine losing a $100k pot to Q-4o all-in pre-flop.

How many of you would break your mouse? Raise your hand... Keyboard? C'mon be honest. OK, now how many of you would punch a hole in your wall?

That's what I thought. Now that guy rivering a flush against your top two pair doesn't seem quite so bad does it?

Until next week - and keep the bad beats coming to badbeats@pokerlistings.com.
