As we reported last week, the clock was winding down on PokerStars' 60 Billionth hand cash giveaway.
Well, the mega milestone hit today and online poker player Pogo650 walked away with $102,090 for showing down the winning hand.
It was at a $5/$10 Limit Hold'em table, with four of the other players taking over $20,000 and one pocketing ten dimes. Read on for the details.
As you can see from the screen capture above, an announcement was made to the table, and a moderator even implied that folding pre-flop would be ludicrous. (The winner gets a $60k bonus, in addition to double the regular payout)
Despite that sage advice one player mucked his cards to an opening raise. We're hoping that was a misclick since deciding to do that ranks pretty high up there on the absolute mental retardation scale.
The remaining five players wisely stuck around until showdown with Pogo650's Q-3 flopping a pair of treys, the best hand when all was said and done.
All told almost $200,000 was handed out to the six players at this low-stakes Limit table. Not bad for an afternoon of online poker.
Keep an eye on this blog for warning of future milestones. PokerStars will be doing it every 100 millino hands until the super-duper mega milestone at 100 Billion.Borders:
