Nothing says Happy Valentines Day like high stakes action from the Golden Nugget. GSN knows this, generously gifting Season 6 of High Stakes Poker to poker fans every where this Sunday.

We've got a look at the matchups and what you can expect from the new season, but first check out GSN's trailer.

Sub the stunning Kara Scott for the completely average AJ Benza and add a "new look and feel", season 6 promises more of what we've come to expect from HSP, the best pros in the world dueling it out for stakes higher than normal people can even understand.

The confirmed line up is a veritable who's who of nose bleed poker players both online and live. There's a perfect storm of action players and action givers that will bring us the massive pots and outrageous bluffs we love so dearly.

The list of players 100% confirmed by GSN includes, Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine, Doyle Brunson, Tom "Durrrr" Dwan, Eli Elezra, Antonio Esfandiari, Barry Greenstein, Phil Hellmuth, Andreas Hoivold, Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, Dennis Phillips, and Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis.

Amazingly there's no shortage of players wanting to pony up at minimum of $200,000 of their own money.

More players are rumored to have taken part in the filming of Season 6 that have not been confirmed by GSN.

Many of these players either blogged about playing or were mentioned in previous HSP Season 6 press releases.

On the Unconfirmed list we have Sammy "Any Two" George, Allan Meltzer, Yevgeniy "Jovial Gent" Timoshenko, Phil "OMGClayAiken"Galfond, Jason Mercier, Gus Hansen, Dario Minieri, Andrew "Good2cu" Robl, and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.

Two names that should jump right out off the list are Tom Dwan and Phil Hellmuth. There's no love lost between these two and if there's one awesome hand between them (preferably with Phil losing) we can call this entire season a success.

Even if those two don't get into it others will, its what makes HSP what it is.

Just like last season we'll be taking an in-depth look at the most interesting hand each week in our HSP Strategy Snapshots. We'll take you through the hand step by step and do our best to explain the thought processes behind the plays.

Keep an eye on the blog section every Monday for those and come join the discussion. We're interested to hear what you think.

I actually liked AJ Benza and the fake feuds him and Kaplan would have. As far as I'm concerned Kara Scott does have to prove herself.
