So I was told that they actually do not need me this time around, and I can just take my flight home. While I am a bit disappointed to not be doing the commentary, I am absolutely pumped to be going home.
I actually really wanted to just go home, but felt that the opportunity was just too great to pass up. I will be looking forward to chilling for a few weeks in Florida, maybe take a little trip to cali with my girlfriend (for her job, but whatev). I'll be playing some ftops probably and maybe blog a bit about those.
The 5k 6 max event in Monte Carlo was pretty disappointing. I busted on the 2nd to last hand of the night with 34 people left, 18 get paid.
I played one of the most sick hands of my life during that tournament, in which I called a 5 bet shove getting 1.6 to 1 with Q9s and was absolutely right to make the play because the dude had 35s.
Unfortunately, I lost the hand, but the legend is growing... lol jk.
I got slowrolled by some french guy who had no idea that he was slowrolling on my bust-out hand, where I flopped top pair with A♣ 6♣ vs his A4o on a A-Q-4 flop ... shortstacked to start the hand.
Either way it was pretty annoying seeing this guy slowroll everyone (about 7 times during 4 hours).
Alright, well I've got to pack up a few things and head to the airport. 12 hours of chinese poker should be fun.
