This week we're looking at the brand new Lock Poker player dashboard, and its integration of stats and Sharkscope data. We'll lay out what's going to be possible and then tell you whether it's worth your time.
The Lock Poker player admin is a web-browser based system and it does the job of cashier, sharkscope website, client settings and stat tracker, plus a few other features.
As you can see the interface is straight-forward and easy with the sections laid out across the top. Here's a look at the Sharkscope integration.
While this dashboard puts everything in one place it doesn't really introduce too much new functionality.
Where it succeeds, however, is the stat-tracking and reports sections. Just being able to look at a 100% accurate breakdown of your profits and losses will be a big step for a lot of players.
In the Statistics section you can view your history for cash, tournament and play money.
If you're hoping for Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker level stats this isn't going to satisfy you. As far we can see there won't be granular player stats on your opponents, just the Sharkscope info.
It looks like users of this interface will still be limited in their daily Sharkscope searches, but depositing players will get 10 searches a day, opposed to the regular 5 a day afforded to normal Sharkscope users.
Another innovation is what they call "The Vault". It seems to be another layer of security protecting your cash. In addition to logging into the Dashboard you must supply a PIN to gain access to the vault.
The Bottom Line
While these new tools aren't going to revolutionize your online poker experience it'll be great to have all of this in one place.
Players who have deluded themselves about results in the past will get an honest look at their profitability. For losing players that's often the first step to becoming winning players.
If you're in the market for a new online poker account we recommend trying Lock Poker.
