Right now Europe is up 2-0 with Patrick Antonius and ziigmund beating Phil Ivey and Huck Seed, and ElkY beating Phil Hellmuth.
These matches were pretty crap-shooty as players started with 40 big blinds and blinds went up every ten minutes.
The real action seems to be taking place on the breaks as the pros split off into groups to play high-stakes Chinese poker. Before the latest match started we snapped this photo of Doyle Brunson, John Juanda and Gus Hansen playing.
Peter Eastgate is sweating them but wasn't actually playing. It was pretty funny, when the TV match was supposed to start, the producer came over to the game of Chinese to tell them it was time to start.
Doyle and Gus just sort of glanced up, apparently more interested in the Chinese than the Caesars Cup. They continued playing and after a few more failed attempts to get them to stop the producer just stood there until the players decided to end it.
Keep an eye on our poker news section for a unique look at the Caesars Cup later today.
