With the Aussie Millions main event just days away we thought we'd get in the mood with a look at a few facts you might not have known about Australia.

We use the term "facts" loosely since we learned them all from the Internet. But seriously, you're reading this on the Internet so draw your own conclusions.

Marree Man

Just over a decade ago a 4km long picture of a warrior appeared in deep in the Australian outback, complete with 200m penis.

No one knows who was responsible for the rendering of the titan and his massive wang but we have one suspect in mind … cough … Mark Vos.

Snake Bit

The inland Taipan, indigenous to Australia, is the most venomous snake in the world. The venom in one bite is enough to kill 250,000 mice, or one Gobboboy.

Bob Hawke’s the Man

Back in the fifties Bob Hawke set the world speed record for downing two pints of beer. Is it any wonder he went on to become Prime Minister?

To Serve and Protect

The first police force ever assembled in Australia was made up of the 12 most well-behaved convicts.

Drunken Masters

It was reported that the original pioneers from Europe consumed more alcohol per capita than any other group in history.

Funnily enough this record was broken by Gavin Smith at the last World Series of Poker.
