Bicycle brand cards to be dealt at WSOP

The United States Playing Card Company (USPC), along with its Bicycle brand cards, has been named the official supplier of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) by Harrah's License Company LLC. The deal will make Poker Peek cards the official playing cards of the WSOP starting this year.

"We appreciate USPC's support of the WSOP and welcome them to our family," said Jeffrey Pollack, WSOP commissioner.

The three-year agreement, which was announced Wednesday, will have USPC introducing the Poker Peek face style and special Bicycle-inspired card-back at the 2007 WSOP, subject to regulatory approval.

In addition, every table of each WSOP bracelet event will have a fresh setup of KEM card-stock cards - considered the world's finest playing-card material.

"Our players deserve the best, and this is just one more example of how we are working hard to provide them with nothing less," Pollack said.

The Bicycle brand has been the world's leading playing-card brand for more than 120 years, making USPC a global leader in playing cards and related products.

"This is a fun moment in history to bring the 120-year heritage of the Bicycle brand to the most prestigious poker tournament in the world," said Rob Clendening, Bicycle brand manager.

He continued saying, "The WSOP participants will appreciate the KEM cards on the table, and our millions of consumers worldwide will recognize and appreciate the Bicycle-inspired card-back design and innovative new Poker Peek face style."

Kenny Robinson, USPC vice president of global marketing, said the company is excited to join forces with the WSOP to introduce its new product to the world's premier gaming event.

"The Poker Peek used during the WSOP will be the inspiration for a new deck that will be offered to the public later this year under our Bicycle brand," he said.
