Betfair Poker declares independence with new platform

By Sarah Polson

Betfair Poker will re-launch on its own software platform by the end of the month combining its player base with Poker Champs while still remaining a separate brand.

"Having our own poker software puts us in command of our own destiny. It means we can react quickly to customer feedback and continue to develop an innovative, community-focused product," said Ben Fried, head of poker at Betfair Poker. "We are confident that we are laying the foundations of a market-leading poker room."

The new software was developed with the input of real players on the site which placed emphasis on simplicity and focusing on the game.

While working to keep the site approachable and visually pleasing, Betfair Poker also added new features including educational video content, personalized view for multi-table play, personal player information, player profiles, player search and map, and a VIP club.

Betfair Poker regulars will notice that some of their favorite features such as a safe, secure and fast payment system, 24/7 customer service, and the forum and leaderboards will remain.
