Betcorp approves sale to Bodog.com
By Sarah Polson
Shareholders of Betcorp Limited approved the final sale of its operating subsidiaries to Bodog.com Wednesday. Bodog.com had offered the company $9 million to purchase the company's international infrastructure.
Betcorp had operated sportsbook sites as well as a poker site and online casino which will now be operated by Bodog.com.
According to a letter put out to customers by Bowmans Poker, Bodog.com doesn't operate within Canada, so all Canadian customers from the acquisition will now be moved to Bowmans Poker.
Sara Waller, a representative from Bowmans Poker, said in the letter, "In choosing where to send Canadian clients, Bodog looked for a site with similar products, a reputation for great service and a long history in Canada. Bowmans was the natural choice."
Bowmans Poker has a Tier 1 international gaming license and 22 years of experience in the gaming industry. The site offers sportsbook, casino games and poker online.
