Bertrand's Back: ElkY Storms to Top 10 on EPT Deauville Day 2

He's the #1 all-time live tournament money leader and one of the names most synonymous with poker in France.

And with over $10.8m in career earnings, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier isn't exactly suffering for impressive results on his résumé.

Without a "big" result since 2012, however, one could say Grospellier is in the longest drought of his career. That might be about to change after Day 2 of the EPT Deauville Main Event today.

Playing some inspired poker Grospellier bagged up 281,500 to head into Day 3 among the chipleaders and eyeing another huge score.

ElkY in a Groove, Pollak Close Behind

After a strong Day 1b that got him off on the right foot ElkY continued his assault on the leaderboard on Day 2.

Things went so well, in fact, he didn't want play to end:

Alex Tikhoniouk has the chip lead with 312,500. American Kevin MacPhee is second with 308,300.

Other notables with good stacks heading to Day 3 include Nicolau Villa-Lobos (230,600), Jan Heitmann (199,000) and former EPT Deauville champ Remi Castaignon (175,000).

Fellow PokerStars pro and ElkY pal Eugene Katchalov (137,000) also had a good day. The current Top 10:
