Berndsen12 Burns Isildur1 in High Stakes Rematch
The highly anticipated rematch between Berndsen12 and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom took place last night and for once the sequel was even better than the original.
Earlier this week Berndsen12, who is Dutch poker pro Sander Berndsen, played a 5,000-hand marathon match against Isildur1 and eventually booked a $150k win.
Last night Berndsen12 scorched Isildur1 for $280k in over 2,000 hands of $100/$200 PLO and ended his night with a staggering $445k in profit thanks to an earlier heads-up session against VietRussian.
The heads-up match between Berndsen12 and Isildur1 followed a familiar pattern as Blom cruised to nearly $200k in profit before a complete meltdown that saw him lose over $500k.
It didn’t help that Bernsen12 raked in the biggest pot of the night – a $232k barnburner – when he flopped a set of fours against Isildur1.
Berndsen12 is easily the biggest winner in 2012 with $732k and, if he continues to crush, could be the first person to crack a million in online poker this year.
Isildur1 has gone poker mad over the last week and recorded over 15,000 hands in the high stakes games on PokerStars.
Berndsen12 was the biggest winner last night but Bernard-bb, who coincidentally is the second biggest winner in 2012 with just over $400k, also pulled in a substantial $157k.
Fake Love888 (+$129k), gavz101 (+$82k) and H?rh? (+$75k) also made notable scores.
Meanwhile VietRussian dumped $213k into the high stakes games, nearly getting into Isildur1 territory.
Ben86 (-$184k), mTw-DaviN (-$110k) and johnxfleming (-$75k) also had the dubious honor of making it into the top five biggest losers last night.
