Benyamine picks on the Patrik

By: Sean Lind

One of the themes in online poker this year has been David Benyamine kicking some serious ass on the tables. Some experts estimate that Benyamine has made somewhere in the neighborhood of $15 million this year alone.

The dreamy Patrik Antonius is one of David Benyamine's toughest competitors. Both players are at the top of their game, and are absolute online degen addicts. These two nosebleed players spend more time online than almost anyone, and are consistently sitting on the same table.

The amount of money wagered in pots between the two probably exceeds the entire net income of some small countries.

In today's session, the two veterans are playing three-handed with theASHMAN103.

Out of the top 5 pots of this session, Benyamine has bested Antonius in three, while theASHMAN103 has taken two large pots off of Benyamine. In short, Patrik is getting worked in the big pots of this session.

The biggest hand of the session at this point went a little something like this:

With the open-ended straight draw and the flush draw, Antonius wasn't going anywhere in this pot. Benyamine, with his overpair, was also committed to see a showdown. All in all it was a pretty standard hand in a rough session for Antonius.

In all of the largest pots he's played against Benyamine this session, Antonius has missed his draws, been out kicked on his top pair or seen Benyamine hit his draws. As the saying has it, "Sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes the bar eats you."
