The high-stakes online games may have died down but that hasn’t kept Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky from winning the odd game that pops up.

Sulsky dominated the big $1k/$2k 8-game that ran on PokerStars yesterday. He bested Alexander “Joiso” Kostritsyn, Elior “Crazy Elior” Sion, Mongano and greezehool to the tune of $111,492, according to highstakesDB.

Sulsky actually played a mixture of $1k/$2k 8-game and 2-7 Triple Draw although he posted a small loss in the Triple Draw portion of the day.

It’s been an average year for Sulsky who’s “only” up $215k when in years past he’s been up millions by this point.

Ravenswood13 Still Online King

Ben Sulsky isn’t currently the biggest high-stakes winner of the year on PokerStars.

That honor goes to Ravenswood13, rumored to be Carlo van Ravenswoud, who has amassed $667,187 in the big games on PokerStars.

The Ravenswood13 account has only been active on PokerStars since mid-2013 and went through a disastrous downswing in late 2015 that saw him lose over $1m.

Ravenswood13 has rebounded nicely over the last couple years, however, and with a strong 2017 that downswing will be a distant memory.

Right behind Ravenswood13 is Russian Timofey “Trueteller” Kuznetsov who is currently up $444,983.

Kuznetsov had a rough start to 2016 that saw him drop over $1m but like Ravenswood13, he’s been firmly on the upswing ever since and has rebounded nicely.

The Russian has also been quite successful on the live tournament circuit with nearly $3m in earnings with $2.1 million coming from a spectacular showing at the 2015 SHRB.

Rough Year for Dan “Jungleman” Cates

On the other end of the scale for 2017 is Dan “Jungleman” Cates, of the seemingly never-ending durrrr Challenge.

Cates has been fairly active in the high-stakes games this year with 13,636 but he’s down $495k.

It wasn’t a great start to 2017 for Cates as he promptly lost half a million in the first two weeks of the year.

Cates did get some good news recently, however, as Absolute/UB started paying back players. Jungleman allegedly had a large sum on the site.

Some of the other players in tough this year include Dani “supernova9” Stern (-$485,135) and Bill “GASTRADER” Perkins who is down $396k. Might be time to put that stream boat in reverse.
