Bell dings for Everest Poker Avalanche Round 3

Get caught in the avalanche today as Everest Poker hosts Round 3 of its weekly tournament series.

The poker room is hosting the third Avalanche event today at 3 p.m. (GMT) which will lead to an online final Sept. 17.

"That's when the real fun begins," said Everest Poker property manager Jonathan May in a release.

The ten winners from the online finale, he said, are going to win a trip to play at a live final table at a secret location where their share of the $1 million prize awaits.

The nine-month series couples online play with live poker games. The Everest Poker Avalanche features a three-round structure that allows players at all skill levels to compete in the action.

Round 1 satellites are designed for risk-averse players with buy-ins of $3+30¢ to $11+$1 while Round 2 is a little steeper at $56+$5.

The third round features two choices: satellite events with $540+$30 buy-ins or entrance into the online Avalanche finale for $5,000+$300.
