A marquee-friendly name like Beau Hunk doesn't hurt when you're competing in a Hollywood Poker event. The dreamily monikered player earned $25,000 by winning a freeroll on the site over the weekend.
Beau Hunk beat out 80 other players and 10 celebrities to take down the clubHOLLYWOODpoker $25,000 Walk of Fame Freeroll Saturday.
The event served as a kick off for $72,000 in scheduled freerolls this year. It also drew out Hollywood Poker's usual host of celebrity players.
Among the stars were Ken Howard of "The West Wing" fame, Pamela Gidley, known for her roles on "Twin Peaks" and "The Pretender" and "CSI: Miami" actor Yancey Arias.
Any player with poker room who accumulated a minimum of 1,250 poker points a month earned Walk of Fame status and a ticket to the event. By maintaining their status, Walk of Fame members also gain entry to exclusive cash events, tickets to major freerolls, an extra tournament ticket each month and a customized polo shirt.
Members of the clubHOLLYWOODpoker program are also rewarded with bonuses, deposit reloads, and the opportunity to play heads-up online poker against a celebrity.
