Beal returns to Vegas for rematch against The Corporation

Andy Beal has returned to the Wynn Las Vegas to resume his high-stakes battle for poker supremacy with "The Corporation," this time competing heads-up against poker phenomenon Phil Ivey.

Beal left Vegas earlier this week after an intense two weeks of poker playing with various members of The Corporation, a group of top players that includes Doyle and Todd Brunson, Ted Forrest, Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, Jennifer Harman, Chau Giang, and Minh Ly, among others.

Though no figures have been confirmed, it is widely believed that The Corporation lost its initial stake of $10 million to Beal over the course of last week.

At the time, no information was leaked regarding a rematch. It now appears, however, that the pros simply took a break from Beal to compete in the World Poker Tour (WPT) L.A. Poker Classic Championship event at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, Calif., earlier this week.

Beal returned to the Wynn on Feb. 21, and has been playing Phil Ivey heads-up in the high-stakes poker room ever since. Once again, no spectators are permitted to enter the area to witness the private game.

It is believed that players are now battling it out at limits of $30,000 - $60,000, lower than last week's $50,000 - $100,000, despite the fact Beal reportedly refused to return unless the blinds were raised.

It is also rumored that Ivey was up somewhere between $4.5 and $6 million after the first two days of play. No reports have been released on today's game.
