Which one do you pick?

Want to be taken under the wing of one of the best poker pros in the world and get a free buy-in to the $5,200 2014 WCOOP Main Event?

Sounds too good to be true, but that's the deal PokerStars announced today offering four players a shot at becoming protégés of elite Team PokerStars Pros.

The winners will all get exclusive one-on-one training from one of four amazing pros – Andre Akkari, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov and Vanessa Selbst - leading up to the 2014 WCOOP.

The winners will also walk away with free entry into three WCOOP events, including the $5,200 Main Event, and get a shot at a 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package.

Who to choose?

“This is going to be a fun and incredible experience for four players," Selbst said in a release.

"They’ll get some great training with in-depth strategy discussion from four Team PokerStars Pros that should really help their games going into the World Championship events.”

The Protégé competition starts on Sunday, July 20 and runs until August 3. Four daily $5.50 tournaments run at the following times:

  • 13.00 ET – Eugene Protégé Qualifier
  • 14.00 ET – ElkY Protégé Qualifier
  • 17.00 ET – Vanessa Protégé Qualifier
  • 18.00 ET – Andre Protégé Qualifier

The top two finishers in each tournament will be asked to make a one-minute video explaining to their possible Team Pro mentor why they should be "the protégé."

Two favorites will be picked by each pro and their videos will be uploaded to Facebook and YouTube. A public vote will determine the ultimate winners.

The protégé that wins the most money in the three WCOOP events he or she plays will win the Grand Prize of the 2015 PCA package.
