From the 708 total entries in the 2015 WPT Bay 101 main event, it would be hard to find a much tougher group to make up the final six.
After a long day of Day 3 play that wrapped shortly after 11 pm PT online legend Isaac 'WestMenloAA' Baron emerged as the chip leader with 6.7m going to the TV table.
Considered one of the best online MTTers ever Baron has hit the live scene with a vengeance recently, racking up impressive scores at last year's PCA and WSOP.
He's now in position to take aim at his first WPT title and $1.2m, but he'll have to knock off an elite group to do it.
Paur, Jaka, Bazeley, Mizzi Take Aim
Baron's 6,715,000 gives him the edge heading to the final table but with a deep structure there's still plenty of poker left.
Right behind Baron in second is veteran pro Taylor Paur, who bagged up 4,270,000. In third is Jake Bazeley, a WSOPC ring holder, with 3,920,000.
The two biggest names at the table - Faraz Jaka and Sorel Mizzi - follow right behind with 2.9m and 1.9m respectively.
As the last two Shooting Stars, their $2,500 bounty is also still on the table.
Wildcard Ravee Mathi rounds out the final six. The full final table and chip counts:
- 1. Isaac Baron 6,715,000
- 2. Taylor Paur 4,270,000
- 3. Jacob Bazeley 3,920,000
- 4. Faraz Jaka 2,920,000
- 5. Sorel Mizzi 1,920,000
- 6. Ravee Mathi 1,470,000
