Avalanche rumbles on at Everest Poker
By Sarah Polson
It's that time again. Saturday will bring another Round 3 satellite for Everest Poker's Avalanche tournament series. The satellite, running at 3 p.m. (GMT) will get lucky players a seat into the online final where they'll try to make it into the live grand final and get a piece of the $1 million prize pool.
The buy-in for the Round 3 satellite is $530+$30 for those players who haven't already won their way up from Rounds 1 and 2. Round 1 satellites cost $3+30¢ or $11+$1, while Round 2 jumps up to $56+$5.
If you haven't yet won your way into Round 3, it's still worth the buy-in to give it a shot considering the top 20 players will get into the online final taking place Sept. 17 and get a piece of the prize pool.
"Sept. 17th? That's when the real fun begins," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "The 10 winners from the online finale are going to win a trip to play at a live final table at a secret location. That's where their share of the $1 million awaits them."
There are still several months to go before the Avalanche loses steam. That's plenty of time to try to win your way in for less or to gather up the $5,000+$300 buy-in.
