Atlantic City casino announces summer poker tournament

The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa will break in its new 85-table poker room with the Summer Poker Open Tournament July 5 through 20. This inaugural event will offer players a chance to participate in thirteen main events including No-Limit Texas Hold'em, Limit Texas Hold'em, Seven-Card Stud, and Omaha tournaments.

Forty-one events, with buy-ins ranging from $350 to $5,200, are planned for the tournament culminating with the No-Limit Hold'em Championship, which is scheduled as a four-day event running July 17 through 20.

The sixteen day series will also feature super satellites where players can win their way into the championship event, second chance cash, and sit-and-go tournaments.
