Aston Martin freeroll and Sunday Million draw big crowds
Another big weekend on PokerStars.com saw a four-way split at the top for the Sunday Million and an Aston Martin DBS handed out to soon-to-be most popular car-pooler in the world joedi20.
For the past several weeks, players have been winning their way into a freeroll on PokerStars.com with a brand new 2007 Aston Martin DBS - the car James Bond drives in "Casino Royale" - up for the winner.
Over 1,600 players qualified for Saturday's event and after more than five hours of play, joedi20 was finally handed the keys and the title of the first person in the world to own the limited-edition car.
To follow that up, PokerStars.com hosted its usual Sunday Million tournament the next day with its usual substantial prize pool.
The final table was again dominated by players from the U.S. with only two players from the rest of the world, Tulkaz from Denmark and OddB from Norway, breaking up the American hegemony.
U.S. player mrrain took top spot and $135,942, but only after a four-way deal had been reached at the end.
The final table results for the Sunday Million are as follows:
| Place | Name | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | mrrain | $135,942.00 |
| 2nd | Tulkaz | $71,477.00 |
| 3rd | swds2004 | $106,541.00 |
| 4th | gregghmsr | $69,606.00 |
